Mile Marker International, Inc. Announces New Marketing Executive

POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Jan 02, 2008 -- Mile Marker International, Inc., a specialty vehicle parts manufacturer and distributor, today announced the hiring of Robert M. Fernandez as its chief marketing executive. Alvin A. Hirsch, President and Chief Executive Officer, announced: "We are pleased to announce that Robert M. Fernandez has joined our Company today as Senior Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing responsible for all sales and marketing functions of the Company. Bob Fernandez is a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 30 years of service in the Army Corps of Engineers. He has commanded engineering units up to Brigade level and has served as the Strategic Planner for the Chief Engineer of the U.S. Army. Bob has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Florida, a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of California, Berkley, and is a graduate of both the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. Mr. Fernandez recently assisted our Company's Board of Directors as a consultant with a comprehensive marketing assessment. Prior to joining Mile Marker, Bob served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for over 8 years for Moving Water Industries in Deerfield Beach, Florida, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of water pumps worldwide. We see pumps and winches as similar products which both require careful engineering, utmost reliability and effective marketing. Bob's skills and marketing experience in a similar environment to ours will be invaluable to us as we face the challenges of growing our military and commercial winch sales and improving our profitability."
