Installing jeep winches on stock Jeep Wrangler/Rubicon/Mojave/Gladiator, e.g. bumpers doesn’t need to be difficult. Follow these quick tips to choose the right mount for you and install it quickly and easily.

Deciding If a Stock Bumper Winch Mount Is Right for You

While it is possible to buy a stock bumper winch mount for your Jeep, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons to make sure it is the right decision for you. The pros of buying Jeep winches that mount on your factory bumper include that this is a cost effective way to install a winch on your vehicle, and the bumper will retain the stock look of a factory installed component.

Buying A Winch Mounting Kit Specific to Your Vehicle

If you’ve weighed the pros and cons and decided installing a winch on a stock Jeep bumper is right for you, now it’s time to choose the right mounting kit. For example, The Mile Marker Jeep Wrangler Mount is a ready bolt-on application for all Wrangler models. Mile Marker also sells mounts for a variety of other vehicles, ATVs, and UTVs. You can view the entire mount collection and sort your selection by vehicle brands and models here.

How To Install Jeep Winches on Stock Jeep Bumpers

Mile Marker Jeep winches and mounts are simple to install. The stock Jeep bumper mounts are one-piece, made from 1/4″ high quality steel, and finished with a durable baked-on black powder coat finish. You’ll want to attach the winch to your mounting plate before installing your mount to your Jeep. Once this is complete, remove your bumper. Then, align the mounting plate holes on the mounting bracket with the holes on the bumper. Once you have the mounting plate securely attached, you can put your bumper back on and you are ready to roll. Our customer service team can assist in helping you answer questions about an installation.
